About

If you use WordPress in any capacity, you must experience a WordCamp!

From ~10 people in a South Lake Union basement years ago to more than 700 attendees at a sold out WordCamp, the Seattle organizing team has a learned a lot . . . and in 2015 we’re back with big plans!

What is WordCamp?

WordCamps are casual, locally-organized, non-profit conferences covering everything related to WordPress, the free and open source content-management software that powers over 75 million sites on the web. WordCamps come in all different flavors, based on the local communities that produce them, but in general, WordCamps include speakers presenting on topics ranging from basic WordPress tips to serious development tools and strategies. The types of sessions typically seen at WordCamps can be viewed online on WordCamp.tv.

You can watch past events’ talks for free, organized by year on WordPress.tv:

Is This WordCamp for Me?

One of the biggest challenges for our large community here in Seattle has been curating programming that caters to our diverse audience. To better address the diversity of our community and the delivery vehicle that is WordCamp, in 2015 we’ll be putting on two WordCamps aimed at two different demographics of our community.

The first WordCamp will be March 28-29 at the beautiful Seattle Pacific University, aimed at the “Experienced” WordPress community — those who have been using WordPress for many years as professional developers, designers or publishers. The second WordCamp will be later in the year aimed at the “Beginner” WordPress community — those who are just getting started with WordPress as developers, designers or publishers.

How much does it cost?

Due to the generosity of our sponsors, this year’s event will only cost you $20!
